Company Of Thieves

We’re very proud to have Chicago’s up and coming Company of Thieves as our first roster artist. We first came across Company of Thieves (“CoT”) as we were building our artist base for SecondWaveMusic.com. Listed as a “Friend of a Friend” on another band’s MySpace page, we clicked the link and what happened next became our story.

CoT was creating a local buzz with their soulful, organic rock sound. They had just recorded their self-released CD Ordinary Riches and were looking to expand outside of the local scene. We started working with them in June, 2007 helping to sort out opportunities, evaluating potential partners and providing resources to capitalize on the best ones. Having built a mutual trust and respect, our relationship was solidified with a management agreement in February, 2008. From there they caught the Industry’s attention at SXSW, toured the Heartland, and returned to New York City further sparking strong Label interest. CoT was featured in Billboard Magazine, Chicago Tribune’s RedEye and Beep Media’s “Bands to Watch in 2008”.

We’re now very happy to announce that Company of Thieves has signed an exclusive 360° deal with New York City-based Wind-up Records covering aspects of recording, touring, publishing and merchandise. The Wind-up team has tremendous experience developing and breaking artists and provides CoT the firepower needed to take their career to the next level.

Second Wave Music Management is looking to work with other emerging artists to pursue the next logical step in their career, whatever that next step might be.
